OVERVIEW

This short but exciting 2-day safari is perfect for travelers with limited time who still want to experience the incredible wildlife of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. Starting with a flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, the adventure takes you to Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephant herds and giant baobab trees, and then to the Ngorongoro Crater, home to a dense population of wildlife including the Big Five. The tour includes flights to and from Zanzibar, making it a seamless safari getaway.

TOUR PLAN

DAY 1 – ZANZIBAR TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Transfer: Pick-up from your Zanzibar hotel at 5:00am and transfer to the airport for a flight to Arusha (arrival around 9:20am).
Program: After arrival, meet your guide and drive to Tarangire National Park (2 hours). Enjoy a full-day game drive in the park’s diverse landscapes of savanna, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, and many bird species.
Activities: Game drive in Tarangire.
Accommodation: Marera Mountain View Lodge (mid-range, outside Ngorongoro Crater).
Meals: Lunch and dinner included.

DAY 2 – NGORONGORO CRATER & RETURN TO ZANZIBAR

Program: Early morning departure at 5:00am with packed breakfast and lunch. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 5-hour game drive. Keep an eye out for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and possibly the rare black rhino. In the afternoon, return to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
Activities: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.
Accommodation: None (end of tour).
Meals: Breakfast and lunch included.
