
This 7 days safari takes you through some of Tanzania’s most famous parks: Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. You’ll experience thrilling game drives, witness breathtaking landscapes, and stay in comfortable lodges and tented camps. See a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and flamingos, with a chance to witness rare black rhinos. Meals are freshly prepared, and professional guides ensure a safe and unforgettable experience.
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to Under the Shade Safari Lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you can opt for a city tour of Arusha, visiting the Cultural Heritage Art Gallery, the local market, and the Maasai Market to get an introduction to the city’s culture.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart your lodge at 7:40 a.m. for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour drive. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. From the open-roof safari vehicle, enjoy views of seasonal swamps, vast savanna, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River.
Look out for giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, elephants, and diverse bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot before continuing with afternoon game viewing. In the evening, check in at Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park. The drive takes 4–5 hours along a scenic but occasionally bumpy route through the crater highlands toward the Serengeti plains.
Weather permitting, stop at Ngorongoro Viewpoint for 10 minutes to admire the caldera before continuing. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route, followed by an afternoon game drive upon entering Serengeti. At sunset, check in at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Rise early for a sunrise game drive, taking advantage of the wildlife’s active hours. Spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains, searching for the Big Five, and observing over 500 bird species, from ostriches and secretary birds to black eagles.
Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight at Into Wild Africa. Optional activities for an additional cost include a hot air balloon safari or a walking safari.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive before breakfast in the bush at a picnic site. Continue with wildlife viewing until noon, then drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Check in at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, situated on the crater rim, for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Descend into Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning of game viewing. The crater spans 260 square kilometers and hosts a rich variety of wildlife, including the rare black rhino, elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, and flamingos. Explore rivers, swamps, soda lakes, forests, and open plains during a 5-hour game drive.
Return to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge in the afternoon to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park & End of Safari
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but diverse reserve 120 km west of Arusha. Explore the park’s shallow salt lake, woodlands, and grassy plains, spotting monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and tree-climbing lions. Observe over 500 bird species, including thousands of flamingos during certain seasons.
After the game drive, return to Arusha, marking the end of your safari. You may choose to be dropped off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar (recommended after 19:40).
