OVERVIEW

This 8 days safari is designed for travelers seeking a blend of wildlife adventure and cultural immersion. You’ll explore Tanzania’s most iconic national parks — Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater — while also spending time with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes at Lake Eyasi.

Camping inside the parks allows you to experience the sounds of the wild, while daily game drives maximize your chance to see the Big Five. Visiting the Hadzabe, one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania, offers a rare cultural experience.

TOUR PLAN

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA

Pickup from Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, optional Arusha city tour including Cultural Heritage, local market, and Maasai Market.

DAY 2 – ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Morning drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is home to elephants, baobabs, lions, leopards, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species. Picnic lunch inside the park followed by a game drive.

DAY 3 – TARANGIRE TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Sunrise game drive in Tarangire, then transfer to Lake Manyara. The park is famous for flamingos, tree-climbing lions, elephants, and primate-filled forests. Dinner and overnight just outside the park.

DAY 4 – LAKE MANYARA TO LAKE EYASI (HADZABE & DATOGA)

Morning transfer to Lake Eyasi for a cultural experience with the Hadzabe (hunter-gatherers) and Datoga (blacksmiths). Join traditional hunting, learn about their click language, and discover their way of life.

DAY 5 – LAKE EYASI TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Drive via Ngorongoro Highlands into Serengeti. Stop at Ngorongoro Viewpoint (weather permitting) for views of the crater. Afternoon game drive in Serengeti before dinner and overnight at camp.

DAY 6 – FULL-DAY GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti, home to the Big Five and over 500 bird species. Sunrise and afternoon game drives maximize wildlife sightings.

DAY 7 – SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO (SIMBA CAMPSITE)

Sunrise game drive with picnic breakfast in Serengeti. Later, drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim for dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.

DAY 8 – NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR & RETURN TO ARUSHA

Early descent into Ngorongoro Crater — one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic breakfast inside the crater, followed by a hot lunch before returning to Arusha.
